The Power of People Management

Increased Employee Productivity & Achievement of Team Accrual Goals For Legacy Utility Company’s Commercial Rebate Program

Before

The JPI Group first worked with James, who spearheads a leading global consulting energy efficiency firm, after they became the implementer on a NJ Utility’s Commercial Rebate program. As a well-established vendor with the NJ utility company for diversity recruitment workforce development and outreach support, it made sense for James to continue working with The JPI Group for staffing up the project.

What James didn’t expect?

That we would bring a hands-on project manager to serve as the liaison between his company’s leadership and their Human Resources department to help train as well as upskill employees.

During

We quickly implemented consistent training (soft/technical) and peer-to-peer teachings focused on best practices to ensure the accuracy of task completion while increasing the speed of key processes. Our project manager met with the team on a monthly basis and also, attended all outreach and operation meetings on a weekly basis. Ultimately, his strategies helped make the team more manageable, cohesive and proficient.

After

James is grateful to have exceeded project goals as a direct result of our project manager, whose leadership significantly helped increase employee production. These efforts have been very beneficial by allowing several Energy Efficiency Advisors (EEAs)/ Project Coordinators (PCs) to reach $1,000,000 for the first time. Additionally, within four months, the team has consistently met their monthly
accrual goal (i.e., $5,000,000).

The Energy Efficiency Consulting Firm credits JPI’s weekly meetings with the EEAs and their assigned PC, as well as a strong review process of their assigned projects, including KPI/Metrics evaluation. This process enabled JPI to help increase performance – as concerns over project completion were quickly addressed.

More Results

Within the first few months of working together in 2022, JPI also moved and managed seven project coordinators as well as 13 outreach/engineers. Plus, three of those individuals were promoted to a lead role with the Energy Efficiency Consulting Firm.

Today, The JPI Group still employs and manages six project
coordinators as well as eight energy efficiency advisors as the program has matured.

The JPI Group also significantly helped avoid HR headaches, such as, employee conflicts and overall management, which led to increased trust and improved relationships with the Energy Efficiency Consulting firm’s customer base.
